Hey ya'all... I just got back from San Diego tonight with Lucija, and I had a chance to post some images, and some are really good.

We had a good time going to a winery in Temecula, CA on Friday (Ponte Winer). We had a nice late lunch, had a great Moscato with dinner, and even bought a bottle for later. It turned out, that the drink we chose at dinner was the best on there, as we found out after our wine tasting of 6 different varieties of whites and reds.

Saturday we spent the day at La Jolla Cove in the morning and early afternoon, took a driving tour of UC San Diego, then later went to La Jolla Beach and watched the waves and played voleyball with each other! Then at night, we went out to town! Shoulda gotta a picture of that... good times. We were searching for the infamous, Key Lime Martini!!! We tried this first bar, which was pretty swank and had a nice liquor selection, only to be told they couldn't make it. We later tried this posh space called "Confidential". The guy made one with no hesitation (although forgetting a sugared rim on the glass). It was pretty good, but apparently, no comparison to LA's bar. After our ordeal getting out of the parking garage (15 minutes in line), we escaped back to the hotel.

Sunday, it was a bit at Mission Beach for some volleyball, although the sand was a billion degrees and we couldn't really play :( We instead got in the ocean, and bumped the ball around a bit, and I tried to body surf but it ended horribly with a mouth & lung full of salt water. Oh well... boogey boards next time.

5.5 hours of driving and one border patrol stop later, we are back all safe & sound with pictures to share....

I posted some new pictures from playing volleyball up at Dan's Cabin in Prescott. This was a lot of fun, other than the large amount of rain we had on Friday night, and then again Saturday early afternoon. If only the whole trip we had weather like Saturday evening and Sunday morning!! Oh well, we got in lots of volleyball, and my dang my feets are sore! Had lots of fun camping with Brian, Pam, and Lucija. We'll have to do that again some time when it's drier, and I have a larger tent... the Queen size air mattress is a bit tight in my little green $10 tent!

Status update!!

I'm now back from California and back to work. I had a good trip, and learned about some anime, and checked out a bunch of people with costumes. I will post pictures some time soon of those pictures.

I also put up pictures from Pam's birthday party and our outing to Los Dos Molinos for dinner. Good times!

I just finished ordering a "Cyclo DS: Evolution".

This is a Nintendo DS game emulator. It's cool. Just download a game file (copy of a game downloaded), put it on a memory card and put that in my Nintendo DS! And I should be able to get a ton of them. Got them with free shipping to boot!! I'll post something when I give it a try.

I also ordered Lucija one to give to her sister, which is nice of her.

And as you can tell, I'm swamped at work :-P

I've been busy programming this weekend!! After wakeboarding on Friday, I was tired & sore, so this was a nice reprieve.

I've been working on my image browser which you'll see if you click on the "My Pictures" link on the left, or click here. This new version supports virtual "Albums" as well as other cool stuff!

I also put it up on Sourceforge, which is a site which promotes Open source software, and you can check it out here if you're so inclined.

It's been an exciting weekend, well, not really. Lucija has been busy with her parents and sisters, so I've had some time to myself for programming & piano, which has been sorta cool.

This weekend I was workin...

This weekend I was working on finishing my landscaping, and at least I'm now very close.

Friday, I went to Pioneer again, and I got a bit over 500 bricks and a half ton of sand. Went home & unloaded all of that, which took most of the day actually.

Saturday, I went to home depot to rent a vibrating plate tamper to tamp down all the sand I had in my patio area. I wound up undoing some of my walkway work I had done earlier to use the tamper, because I was afraid the ground was too wet previously, and needed it to compact down.

And after that, which dear God it was a pain to tow through my rocks, I took it back as well as the ton of rock sitting in my front yard.

Following helping my mom chainsaw some branches, I returned later to finish leveling some more sand & I pretty much finished the walkway.

Today (Sunday), I started relatively early and leveled some sand again, and worked on my patio, which is now nearly completely. Check out my pictures to see how close I am to being done with my awesome backyard!
